Modular Building Hire Abbotsford

SPM Group — 1300 654 799

Need an office, site shed, classroom or amenities block on the ground in weeks rather than months? That’s what modular hire is for. We hire and sell portable modular buildings across Victoria and Queensland, and Abbotsford sits inside our Melbourne operation, so coverage isn’t a question. If you’re after something permanent instead, the same buildings are available to buy.

Do we come to Abbotsford? Yes — the building is manufactured at our facility and transported in, so what matters on site is access for the delivery rather than conditions for a build.

Modular Building Hire in Abbotsford

You end up with a finished, usable building on your site — not a kit and not a shell. Lined walls, power, lighting, doors that lock, and the layout you asked for. A site office with a meeting room and a separate amenities block. A classroom that holds a class. A lunchroom that actually seats your crew.

If a standard configuration suits, you get it faster. If it doesn’t, we design and build to what you need — buildings get joined, partitioned, fitted with different door and window positions, and specced to suit how the space will be used. You tell us the function and the constraints; we work out the building.

How it works

You tell us what the building is for, roughly how many people use it, how long you need it, and where it’s going. We’ll talk through access — truck and crane access is usually what decides the design, not the design deciding itself.

From there you get a quote covering the building, delivery, installation and removal at the end of hire. Once that’s agreed, we confirm a delivery date, build or allocate the unit, and transport it in. Installation is typically a single day for a standard building: set down, level, connect, hand over.

At the end of the hire term we collect it. Extending is straightforward if the project runs long — most do.

What it costs

Hire is priced as a weekly or monthly rate, plus one-off costs for transport, installation and removal. Four things move the number: the size and spec of the building, how long you hire it for, how far it travels, and how hard your site is to get into and set up on.

Longer terms bring the weekly rate down. Difficult access pushes the installation cost up, sometimes significantly, which is why we ask about it early rather than discovering it on delivery day. If the need is ongoing rather than project-length, buying is often cheaper over the life of the building, and we’ll tell you where that line falls for your situation.

Getting started

Get in touch with what you know — the purpose, the rough headcount, the timeframe, and the site address. That’s enough for us to come back with options and a price. If you’re not sure what size you need or whether your site will take a crane, say so; working that out is part of the job, not something you need solved before you call.

Common questions

Do you cover Abbotsford?

Yes. Abbotsford is served by our Melbourne operation. We hire and sell modular buildings across Victoria and Queensland.

Can I buy instead of hire?

Yes. The same buildings are available for sale, which usually makes more sense when the need is ongoing rather than tied to a project.

Can the building be customised?

Yes. Alongside standard configurations we do custom builds and designs — layout, partitioning, joined units, and door and window positions to suit how the space will be used.

How long does installation take?

For a standard building, typically a single day on site: set down, level, connect and hand over. Complex or multi-unit setups take longer.
